Bowen used to do this and I couldn't stand it...it must be something with Marvel approvals because DC PFs don't have black underbases... Anyways, I hope this has a cool base but don't be surprised if the base ends being either:
1. An X base
2. Some flat boring symbol (like her Phoenix emblem or something to keep her in line with the Xbases and Emma's H base)
3. A simple rock or terrain base like Storm's base.

They probably don't want to be too similar to XM's phenomenal base, can't blame them for that.

Still not sure if it could do that...love my XM Phoenix, statue of the year for me... but I do hope this is just as awesome in its own way. I don't see competition, I see a nice Xavier-like coexistence, lol...

But if ss goes the obvious route and variants this Dark Phoenix into Phoenix...that'll be interesting to compare! Hopefully ss will go the Storm and Black Widow route and do a White Phoenix variant (still hoping Doom gets a white variant)...let me slow down...we don't even have a PO for this one yet!

Sounds interesting, they can't go with a boring base with this one. Sounds like it might compete with XM's, glad to see SS stepping up(except for the prices).

Seriously doubt it. Although this one could turn out very nice I can't see it surpassing XM Phoenix as a whole.

I agree, I for one hope sideshow plays it well and really compete with XM on this one haha whats wrong with that
