In an ideal world, the leather on the handle should match the leather where the hand is located.
I'm not that skilled. A thinned matte black wash did the trick

People here are right in that it's his statue and he can do whatever he wants to it because it is, ultimately, just mass market product.
My reaction is just reflexive and visceral. I hate to see quality art dragged down by amateurish revisions.
Fortunately the poster, if this is his piece, can take comfort in the fact that nobody gives a s#it what I think, and even if they did they wouldn't admit it here  |
