wow, it looks like the base set cards are not going for that much on ebay. Some are going for as low as $6.

I'd love to get some of those Classic Corner cards. I remember all the Marvel books had those images in the corners, which I always thought was very cool and distinctive. Not going to pay those insane prices though.

with the base set limited to 199 copies, seems like the best time to get the cards is now, I wish someone would have a full base set to sell, I might of splurged on it, too lazy to hunt down 50 individual cards though

Im really curious as to how the shadowbox 3d cards look in person

Out of curiosity, how much would you be willing to pay for the base set? I'm not meaning to imply I have one to sell. I'm simply curious what a fan would be willing to fork over.

so, the cards with the silver border on the right side, without the serial numbering along the bottom, those are 1/1 sketches?

I'd probably fork over about 5 bills or in that area

Yeah I think so, to make this set even more ruthless to collect, they decided to make the base set have an alternate set which are all sketched, I'm pretty sure those are the ones with the silver border. So all 50 characters who are on a base card are also on one of those which is also 50 cards

I guess they finally figured out if some idiots will shell out good $$$ for sketch cards that look like a six year old drew them, why not take these crazy collectors for everything they got!

why theyd make this set impossible for anyone to complete ill never understand. stupid Upper Deck. i understand the limited numbers on some cards and love the 1/1 sketch card ideas, but really? the multiple panel cards are cool but im convinced theyll deteriorate after opening and closing a few times. i did see on another forum that someone pulled an exchange card thats good for a set of 4 panel cards, i think its about 32 panels total. thats nuts.
