Exclamation

If you can't find one in your local store's inventory, you're too late.
Use the money for something else. I would not risk this statue through ebay..

I imagine he means high shipping/product costs and potential for breakage. And, the way paypal works, if something arrives broken or imperfect, even if the seller is completely responsible, you still have to pay for return shipping (unless you run into an accountable seller who will absorb the return shipping costs which is very rare).

P.S. Does this piece have a bad rep for some reason? Did many ship damaged or with problems? It would strike me as unfair to encourage others to pass on any statue without good cause, i.e., poor paint apps, lazy eyes, subpar packaging.

You are right, shipping back and forth is a big pain. Box is large and heavy and shippingcost high.

I like to say it is a very nice statue & overall design.
IF you can find a good one. I didn't..

My local shop was kind enough to ship me a replacement, but unfortunately none of them where "good".
Some breakage and multiple paint issue. So IF you can/have a good one.. It is very nice. All sold out now and I don't trust any 'leftovers', if you know what i mean.
