Well if Chris Farley is here, then we shouldn't be whining about the pose then should we.
 
C'mon man. The pose is just as bad as the overall build of this statue. Put the two together ...and this statue is just not ideal.

he definitely looks sinister in that portrait.
but he's got the wrong body type. he appears to be too massive. His BMI needs to be drastically reduced to have the correct "feel" for the character.

I know nothing about this character, so no attachment and wouldn't buy regardless but..... Isn't he usually fairly skinny in the comics?

yes. normally he has a welterweight-middleweight build (at best) but here he looks like a legitimate heavyweight.

Is it because he's using/envoking the Things power here?
Seems like a bit of an odd choice, he's already a very niche character... Probably want to go very strict to the comics to get people to buy something that majority of fans wouldn't have even heard of.
Just my two cents.
