Yeah, not in my wheelhouse either...but we are in a statue forum, so most of us probably share that preference.

Not really a fan of too many 'props' actually, but F4F seem to be doing more and more of them, and apparently doing well with them.

I think there is definitely a market for it as I've noticed some companies trying to do things like video game themed jewelry as well. I've got nothing against this or anyone who collects stuff like this. I'm just surprised is all.

Maybe some people really love guns.

F4F probably did this as sort of a tease to generate hype for the Bayonetta line and slowly build up to the main statues from the franchise - don't want to blow their load too soon, metaphorically speaking.

I'm guessing the guns would be a tougher seller to collectors if they had released those after the character statues. This way, F4F can get these out of the way up front and generate sales off basically just one gun/base their company had to R&D for (and pump out 4 identical products w/ slight variations) - easy money.

I've been interested in a prop like this since I saw a similar (smaller?) one in another collector's display (i believe it was in another thread in this forum) - tempted to get one gun for my display but do not think I'm diehard of a fan to get all 4.

Well there have already been a lot of statues both licensed and not plus they are gonna make one.
Statues and props have a natural crossover of collectors.

The guns are very appealing as props but not as made of easily chipped powdered resin and especially at that price.

It does raise an interesting question how much it would cost to modify an actual gun to look like these props. Plus, you know, you could actually use them.

Any updates on these? Also wondering if they will release more Bayo stuff now that the 3rd game is coming out this year. There is hardly any Bayonetta merchandise out there. My current Bayo stuff:
