I think mediocre is pretty accurate nowadays tbh. There was certainly a time when they were the best of the best. However now there are companies which far more premium offerings (XM, P1, Damtoys, etc) and SS are pretty much in the middle now, and sometimes try to break into this by doing similary sized bases but often just being a big and pointless as opposed to big and cool :| And then they also have QC issues on top of that ;p

I didn't order the bundle, just Rey. I don't need an orange soccer ball for $300

Just got BB8 today, the Pro's it looks decent, the Con's it feels like if I squeeze it to hard my fingers will go right through it. It's that thin..... For $300 they should of made it out of metal.
If you must have a 1/4 BB8 well you don't have much choice but to get this one.... IMO this statue should of been like $150 tops at $300 it's feels like your getting the shaft from SS yet again... They did the same thing with the R2-D2 PF... My 1/10 scale BB8 is more solid then this statue.

I'm disappointed with the hair and the mound lines. Thank you for posting. I will not be getting this piece. Maybe seeing it at a LCS might change my mind but for now...pass.

Just go to the Disney store and buy the electronic BB8 for $50 CAD. I will get BB9 to go with it. Way cheaper and better deal then paying $300 for a tiny statue.
Here's mine with Wall-E. it's about 11" tall.
