Actually I would call it a gold standard.
Cloth suit Bats did just fine.

I get the need for some sort of protection in the suit. Just saying the look can be pulled off very nicely. Then there could be some explanation behind the miracle fabric that makes up the suit being a Wayne Enterprises lightweight, ultra dense, blade and bullet deflecting chiffon or some such.

I kind of agree about the over-armoring of some of the Batsuits we've seen. A little more organic feel would be fresh.

Star Wars lost best picture to some Woody Allen movie nobody remembers.
Nobody remembers Annie Hall?? That is widely considered to be Woody Allen's best film.

Could not recall it. I know I saw it at some point but no memory of it. Something with cooking lobsters?
Bottomline it taught me early that the academy awards was full of BS.

Star Wars was the best movie that year bar none but because they then and still look down their noses at Sci Fi/genre films, they went with status quo.

I'm the wrong person to talk to because I've always preferred the best dramas over the best sci-fi films.

I rolled my eyes at that quote, too. "Nobody". Yeah, right.

Come on.

Think from the 1970s back to Neil Adams on... The Batman has been drawn easily the size of a body builder. No actor yet has met that requirement and the armor has always been the cheat.
We all know that.

Who wouldn't want a true comic adaption for a change?
As much as I love Star Wars it was not an Oscar Winners.

As Bale did a trilogy, it would make sense for Affleck to do the same...

Christ, so not even one appearance of The Batfleck yet and they are talking trilogy? Should they wait for it to be a hit first? LOL
Of course how could it not be. I mean it's a given to make hundreds of millions even more globally.
