Walmart customer service is decent, so if you're willing to possibly go through a replacement or two, it's definitely worth it.
I had the same issue with mine. I used a hair dryer to heat up the dress and slightly move it back to where it fit over the base since it drapes over it. It took some time and patience but it fits like a glove now.

You know, I knew that worked for plastic figures, but I never thought about trying it for polystone statues. I'll give it a shot. The current fit could definitely be a lot better. Thanks!

The dress part is a bit more pliable than the body. Just be careful and take your time.

Good to know. I was under the impression that cold cast porcelain, which is what I believe DCD pieces are made of, were more brittle.

Mine was off by a good half inch. It took several tries heating it and moving it a tad....then heating it again and so on. But eventually it moved enough to get the dress over the lip of the base and I was able to get the foot peg in all the way. Now, I may never get her off the base again. LOL
