Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Only 2 chapters into it and I can already tell this is going to be something special. It doesn't hurt that his 100 Years of Solitude is one of my favorite books.

I've abandoned it now. It just wasn't as funnily anarchic as I had hoped.

Yeah, the last update on his site was in 2008. Beautiful series, though. Some of the best fantasy I've read in a long time. Blows the doors off of Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time series.

I am currently reading "Pillars of the Earth"
About 150 pages in. Not that impressed so far but I will give it time.

The book before this that I read was She's Come Undone, and it was VERY good.

Give it time! It is an absolutely fantastic book and you won't regret it. It really takes off and once you get into it you won't put it down. Follet took 17 ot 18 years to write the sequel, "World Without End", which is also worth reading

Just finished reading The First Immortal by James L. Halpern.

A great read about the first human to attain immortality through cryonics.
