my nephew is going to be rediagnosed. while he is smart to the extreme in book learning and shy to the degreee that he wont look or talk to anyone the teachers do not think he is autistic. they think it may be more related to the psycho mom, not there words, and the divorce going on

Just having a quick look on the web (autism support california) and here's a list of Centre's that offer support. (I believe you're in California). If the school seems unable or unwilling to do much, you could try contacting any of these services yourself and just ask their advice. There may be a program or service available that can offer support for the child in school. I realise it's not your responsibility, but you obviously have a vested interest. Of course, it goes without saying that you should be discreet and not name names, but you might be able to get the ball rolling, hand the info over to the school, and actually get something positive done. Just a thought:

Does your school have an anit-bullying policy that all the childern have to sign?

This policy usually states certain rules that the childern must follow such as;

- You must keep your hands to yourself.

- If you witness another student being bullied it is your responsibility to report it to a teacher/principle immediately.
