The Major 1/4 Weta

Arrived today. First impressions, I like the statue very much.
The somewhat basic two tone color scheme of the outfit gives the statue a different feel to all my
other statues. While the statue is hard to the touch, the paint app gives an illusion of rubber softness.

The light up base works really well. If i wanted to be picky, the light-up section below The Major's
foot has light scratches on it. I can live with it.

Credit where credit is due, the production piece matches the prototype shots.

Compared to my Gentle Giant and SideShow stautes, The Major feels lighter in weight.
Once the base has been attached, the whole thing feels heavier.

On opening a new statue, the two main issues that concern me most include it not being broken (obviously)
and the dreaded googly eyes. Lucky enough my Major passed in both areas. That said, The Majors eyes do
have a slightly cold robotic stare about them.

Looks like a bunch of the critic reviews are surfacing. Pretty much as expected no major blunders seems like it's averaging 68% with them. So that means probably around 80/100 for most normal people, I will happily take that as a good sign.

I wouldn't worry Kharlamov. Weta and what they put their name too is the best!

If normal people mean non fans, then I guess yes. If fans of the character / series then from what I've read most are saying it's Robocop, which Ghost in the Shell isn't, and other things.

The arm should be in the down position.

From what i've read, the movie is above average, feat. excellent special FX. Storywise most reviews point to it being simplified take on the original cartoon, and wanting/expecting something deeper. Other complaints focus on the films rating, ie it not being adult enough. Given the amount of previews released, i kind have a very good idea of what to expect, something about 7/10
