Money isn't money unless you spend it. If you have lots of it, you might as well get nicer things.
My £10 Casio watch does me fine though.

There's a Huge mark-up on Jewellery. A few years ago, I got an ESQ Freedom from a jewellers in Mississauga. It was listed at $695. I told the guy at the store that I had a friend that was able to get the watch for $310. He got out a calculator for a few seconds, and gave me the watch for $315. I still think I paid too much for it, but I fell in love with the look of the watch, and had to have it.  Your wife should try to haggle with the store owner, she might get a great deal.

The only Rolex I'd wear is the Daytona. I just love watches. There is nothing pretentious about it. Using a phone as my time keep no thanks. It's bad enough that I have to keep one in the first place. I hate mobile phones.

you have to be into watches to understand...its not just about "telling time" or "status symbol". it just feels good wearing something with such great craftsmanship.
swiss movement, quality, weight, the feel...once you own your first high end watch, nothing else feels the same...
its kinda just like collecting statues. why do you guys spend hundreds on Sideshows & Bowens...i'm sure its not because "i have the money"...its because you know all the time and work that was put into it...something worth the investment.

the Carrera line is a really nice watch, but if you already have two Tags you should just try a different brand.
for the same price point as that Omega, I would look into Breitlings or ICW...they make great watches. have you seen the Breitling Super Avenger? has that style your looking for.

I've got a black Tag Carrera I got myself a few years back. Still love it and until I have enough cash to roll around in, it'll be the only watch I want.
Will let you know which I'd choose when I get to a proper pc to click the links, but as long as you don't buy a knockoff 
I'm a Tag guy personally but Bond wears Omega. How cool is that?!

black faced Tag. the orange face and band on that omega is just not something i like. i'm sure you can get it different though.
i wear a watch everyday but since the house got robbed years ago and my expensive watches where taken I just stick with fossil watches now.
