What's the attraction exactly to action figure toys? Also, why display them still in the box? Seeing as how cheap these are, why not buy two boxes at $15 and display the contents of one of them?

It's the same as collecting statues! I collect both and open some action figures and keep some mint on card due to the aesthetic look of it in the package. Also if the figure is or becomes rare and in demand, keeping it in the package increases it's value. It doesn'i matter if a statue has been removed from it's box because you can easily put it back in! Believe me, I have made THOUSANDS of dollars selling hard to find/rare action figures mint on card!

Exactly - I like the look of my figures still in their respective packages. That's how I like to display them as well.

Finally bit the bullet and bought one yesterday - I still can't believe they actually made a Rocket Raccoon figure! Never thought I'd see that!
I think it's one of the boxed sets that may actually retain it's value as well - seeing as this is the only way to get these figures. Unlike the FF and Avengers sets where most of those figures have already been released.

Did you find it at Wal-Mart? Just trying to figure out where I need to focus the search.
