I'm amazed and saddened that so many people don't see the difference between the work of a trained artist who clearly knows anatomy and composition and someone whose work barely surpasses stick figures.

Seems to the established norm now. Publishers throw all their money at cover artists, and don't throw their money at artists who do interiors. Even when I was collecting hardcore in the early 90's, the interiors matched the covers. But then again, I was reading x-men and a lot of Image.

It's insane to think was a period where the top artists in the business cranked out monthly cover and interior art. I'm not sure who the biggest artist this day is that consistently puts out cover and interior art.

I am sure there are others, but the first artist that comes to mind when thinking of quality covers and quality interiors, is Ken Lashley. Love his work.
