Question about a returned Sideshow statue.

I bought a statue off someone on eBay about three months back that had a chip (which the seller never mentioned) on one of the ears, so I sent it back and PayPal refunded my money. I guess the guy never picked it up at the post office, so they sent it back to me. What am I supposed to do here?

Message him on ebay and ask him about it again I guess. Maybe something happened He should pay for the shipping again though.

edit: definitely do this through the ebay/paypal claim process btw (whichever one you disputed through).

They already refunded my money and this was months ago. USPS won't give me the package until I pay the $51 it cost to ship it back. The guy I bought it from isn't responding. It seems like he disappeared.

That's probably what I'm going to do. The guy made me pay the original return shipping, so I'm already out $51 on it. Thanks for your input.

Probably document this action with ebay/paypal though I guess so if for some reason he shows up down the road and demands it after you've paid to have it returned and possibly fixed or resold or some such you're not liable for anything

^ Good advice from all the fellas above.

I would pay the fee and keep it for at least a month. If he STILL doesn't answer you, then it's officially all yours!

Be careful. Sounds shady. He seems pissed that you returned it.

I might do that to be on the safe side.

That's what I was thinking. It's been about three months since I sent it back to him.

Yeah, I hope it doesn't come back to bit me in the a$$, but I don't know what else to do. I can't get a hold of the guy and I sure as hell don't want to let the post office keep him. Thanks for the advise guys.
