I see what you mean, Not cartoony but the lines, especially on his head look too clean/perfect for Durin's Bane. A third age Demon of Might that laid dormant for 5,000 years until the Dwarves mined too deep to awake.

Did Prime 1 just reuse WETA's last Balrog statue for this? Because I have that one on a shelf. And besides them changing the flames from polystone to PVC I can't see any difference in stance or design.

I noticed that too, and the flames on his back look a little... dare I say it... toy like.
But hey what do I know, people are beating themselves off in the other thread about how great Prime is and that Weta are dated and dead

Looks amazing to me! The base is outstanding. Perfect use of a light up. I'm a sucker for a good light up. To me the Weta is a nice sculpt but it doesn't represent that scene well because it doesn't light up.
I have no clue where I'll display it and I'm scared of the price but I must have it.
