It was created as Battle Ryu by Capcom, Jerry sold it as Battle Ryu but now, "oh no we thought about it and like this better since it might get more attention"

Just like all the changes after something is approved and sold like Akuma's belt.

Not really wanting a statue I own to have a gay name like "Hot Ryu" on the base and box especially when it didn't start or was sold that way.

So yeah TLDR tired of Capcom's meddling.

Capcom approvals are part of Jerry's business.

The braided rope belt is SF4 accurate. That's why you got that.

"Hot Ryu", who cares? Not everything in Street Fighter is 'Shogun Level' seriousness. Some stuff is just silly and fun.

The statue is what counts, not the semantics.

Maybe I'm just getting too old to be burdened by trivial things.

I think it's a fine nickname among fans and a good giggle.
Not a reflectioin of the statue but not my preference on a $700+ statue.

If we're asked to make definitive decisions at PO time it isn't much to ask the same of Capcom. Jerry asks Capcom "Happy?" They say yes, that should be the end of it. After that it's meddling.
