Dave is correct. This particular card was done for the Marvel Universe trading card set. It's a one of a kind, original hand drawn card. I think the reason why it went so high is because I only did 5 cards for that set. I wasn't originally on the set, my wife Elaine was. Her contract was for 45 cards, but with her ongoing health issues, she was only able to finish 40. I asked Rittenhouse Archives if it would be okay if I did the rest and they said it was fine. You are also correct in that I didn't see any of that $760.00. Mind you, Rittenhouse does send the artists blank artist proof cards which look exactly like the inserted cards but have the words "artist proof" on the front and the artists name on the back. I usually sell those for $400.00 each for one character in full color with background. Oh and the artist proof cards are uncut so they are 4" x5".
Now, I must get back to drawing cards for the Avengers set.
