Black Cat Retro Question
I Hope you can help me with these doubts of mine.
What kind of material is the fur of legs, arms & chest?
Do you think is pasted hard, could be removable, somebody did it?
What do you think of the color? too much blue or is because of the pics(light)?
And pictures of different angles are welcome.
Thanks.

Sorry, but this is the only picture I have of the Black Cat Retro statue by Clayburn Moore for DST. I can take more and post them tomorrow night if you don't get any more shots.
The fur is definitely removeable if you wanted to take it off. I'm not really sure what kind of residue will be left behind by the glue or adhesive though. I wouldn't do it. I think the statue is rather unique in having an extra medium involved in its creation.

Oh, as for the color, it's a very nice blue. Not a dark, navy blue but a blue with a purple shade in it.

I stripped down a Retro before. The areas of the fur have drilled lines (deep) so that the fur was glued into the area. Was very hard to get that fur out even dipped in acetone. Had to use a screw driver in it to chisel it out. It may come out with a blow dryer heated up, but then you will need to fill in those deep lines etc...

John is correct. The faux fur was a pain in the a$$ to get rid of. I like the blue on her. CS Moore has always produced quality statues consistently. Here is a pic.

What are you wanting to do? Buy it or have her made into someone else? I have this statue and it's one of my favorites. The fur is not so white now after the years past by but I still love it.

Don't worry. The Black Cat will rise again like the Phoenix as another gorgeous female character/statue. And thanks, you just triggered a light bulb on my head on what to do with the base that I was drawing blanks for awhile.
