Joker 2 - Folie a Deux

I just read a news from a cinema site that Joker 2 is on the works. Director Todd Phillips said the scenario was ready !

The Clown Prince of Crime is coming back for another solo movie. Joker writer and
director, Todd Phillips posted a photo on Instagram of a script cover confirming that
he's currently working on Joker 2 - or as the script calls it Joker: Folie a Deux.

Along with Phillips' script photo, he also included a picture of the Joker himself,
Joaquin Phoenix reading the script. This seemingly confirms that Phoenix will be back
to reprise his role in the sequel to the 2019 film. Also returning for the sequel is Phillips'
co-writer Scott Silver, whose credit appears on the script for the sequel.


I hope it equals the first movie
..better's the first movie. Is that even possible?

If Harley Quinn appears in the film, i somehow cannot image Margot Robbie playing Harley. I sense a very different Harley playing opposite Joaquin Phoenix

That's not to say Margot Robbie could not play a different type of Harley.

Yeah, i mean no need to say how talented Margot Robie is, but Margot is Jared Leto's Joker's Harley Quinn. Joaquin Phoenix is a different kind of Joker, so there will be a recast for Harley Quinn in the Joker 2 film for sure, if there is a Harley Quinn in the Film.

It's a musical, and Lady Gaga is in early talks to play Harley.

Honestly I'd prefer a film that explores this character from Harley Quinn's point of view. Have it be her film where she is writing a paper regarding Arthur's past leading up to his actions in the previous movie, and assessing his current mental state/ideology. Of course she would empathize with him too much which would lead her to becoming Harley Quinn.

It won't be that... But whatever it is I hope it isn't too comic book-y. Stick with the tone set from the first film.

But you are serious. Just looked it up.

I am a fan of musicals. But old Danny Kaye ones. The newer musicals do not have the same magic as the older ones. At least none I have seen yet.

Same...I heard about Gaga, but somehow missed the detail of it being a musical, wow. I wouldn't be surprised if this bit of info was thrown out to gauge interest in the idea.
