It is based on a game by Blizzard called WoW (World of Warcraft) character called Sylvanas Windrunner. Its a beautiful bust but its way out of my range.

I was referring to the character design. Sometimes, to achieve a more realistic character portrait, the designers will base the characters on real life models - like in Death Stranding for example. Sylvanas's portrait, in game cut scenes, is so human it's hard to believe the portrait is not modelled on a living / real person.

Yeah, this bust definitely uses her appearance and perhaps even the model from the various World of Warcraft cinematic trailers. They probably had some mix of models + stylization for that.

What's interesting is that Valeera hasn't had a cinematic trailer appearance that I know of, so Infinity had to fully interpret her appearance themselves (maybe with Blizzard's input).

It does feel like a pretty big downgrade but you never know with lighting. Also, it doesn't appear the Sideshow folks took the hair out of the braids.

Guys I have Sylvanas on pre-order and I just saw the video from Sideshow and I got SHOCKED.

I hope that its lighting and poor placement of hood by the folks in the video that made this statue look so off!!

I was in between buying 2-3 other statues and decided to go all in on Sylvanas, the most expensive statue I ever put money on, this is going to be a disgrace to get such a downgrade from what its originally advertised and presented in different conferences.

I already emailed my supplier to get an update on this, waiting on their reply.

Hopefully the rest of the production of this statue aint going to have such weird skin tone, she literally looks as she is sick, and the eyebrows are so much thinner than previous displays..

Please let me know if anyone has any updates on this.

Agreed. Ouch.

I was this close to pulling the trigger on Valeera but after seeing the production reveal from Sideshow...I'm not too sure.

The skin tones look awful
