I would like to know what player(s) from the 90's were... "plumbers, bouncers and carpenters, guys having sidejobs?" I'll wait for a serious response.

It was just a different type of basketball being played in the 90's, because for whatever reason it is believed that Shaq wouldn't have totally dominated in this era. Which is laughable to say the least and he's from the early 90's. Having to defend him alone would have teams from today totally constructing their rosters vastly different than what we are seeing today. I'm sure the arguement will be used that he'd have to defend them at the three, but those fouls you'd have to give would put those players on the bench. Yeah you have the three point shooting bigs, but Shaq would probably be shooting 75% from the field. And most bigs aren't getting that many shot up from three to make that big of a difference.

Ever wonder why Forps is so salty towards XM Studios? I wonder if it is because he desperately wanted to be one of those who got freebies from them in return for a "review" as he puts it. I mean, he seems to know an awful lot about the subject and he is forever telling everybody who'll listen about his eye for detail and understanding artsy pieces. Maybe he reached out to XM and they knocked him back. That would explain the salty bitterness.

Look, pal. You obviously dont know what exactly was going on with XM.

Forps wanted to receive freebies? Having no Tube channel or never posting photos?

Freebies were received by Tubers or even by guys posting photos on eg an online forum as long as they PUSHED XM narrative down our throats. XM studios had an online army of pushers and hypers receiving their "gifts", they even had Tubers working for them and bashing Sideshow. Then Tubers started pushing eg retailers/resellers or other companies.

Sideshow fans hate XM for the same reason Sideshow hates XM. You obviously dont know HOW XM REALLY STARTED. What were the roots of XM and why Sideshow would and will never cooperate with XM.

But the "Forps wanted to receive freebies" is the most funny thing i've ever read. Forps is like archangel. We dont care about freebies or receiving free stuff to "review" it. I can buy the pieces i want with my own money, i dont care for promoting or hyping or pushing agendas down collectors' throats.

Regardint IronLungs, read again what i wrote, my friend. I wrote that ONLY Shaq would be a top5 or top10 player nowadays and only due to his physical dominance. He would be a better version of Gobert. But he would also be vulnerable not being able to shoot in an era when your center should have the ABILITY and TALENT to also shoot the 3. Shaq would still be a superstar but not the best player of his era (cause Shaq IS the best player from the 90s. PERIOD).

Jordan is a poor mans Anthony Edwards. Edwards is what? No 7-8 in the league nowadays? So Jordan would be somewhere around 13-14. Edwards shoots better than MJ, he is more athletic, has a HIGHER basketball IQ, passes a lot more, is better in every single aspect than the glorified by guys @ their mid-40s and boomers glorified volumen shooter aka MJ.

I view 90s the way guys in the 90s viewed players from the 60s/70s. Plumbers, carpenters, bouncers. Limited talent, extremely slowwwwwwwwww games, NO pace, no talent etc.

You are simply idolizing the players you've watched while you were young kids. Its ok, i UNDERSTAND it. Its psychology 101. It is the same reason you hear guys telling "ohhhhh, the good ol' days" in every aspect of life.

Lebron is the ULTIMATE basketball player. He does everything at an elite level and he is a basketball machine. He is the UNDISPUTED GOAT and deep inside you, setting aside your hate towards him due to politics (the crazy politics of the last ~10y stemming from, well, you all know), you all know it. He is the GOAT.

Nuff said.

Those companies aren't stupid. Why would they trust the judgment of anyone who can't understand that MJ is better than LeBron?

Jordan > LeBron

Not only that, but I'd put Kobe above Lebron.

You're sounding a little riled up. I thought true Alphas don't care what others think? Isn't that what you posted in another thread?

Lebron is an incredible all time talent who would dominate any era he played in. That said, they would call him for travelling every time down the court if you teleported him onto a 90's team right now along with 3/4 of the NBA. I'm sure he could adjust his game, but look at how guys like Giannis, Durant, Lamelo and Lebron are allowed to carry and palm the ball all day long! There are barely any travels called at all!

I still have Jordan above Lebron if I'm trying to win a big playoff game, but I can't knock Lebron at all anymore. What he's doing at 40 years old has never been done and he's still going strong.

Why are you over here defending XM anyway? That group of grey market recasters in on the way out the door.

As to the more important aspect of the discussion. Jordan was clearly the best player and its not even debateable. Although I think Jokic is making a case as an all-time great. He is carrying a very sub-par squad and already won a title. Heck, they needed three point shooting so what did Jokic do? Worked on his 3-point shot in the offseason and is now like the 3rd best in the league.

As to Shaq his game would never work today. Why? He couldnt make any Free Throws. The hack a Shaq was a thing back then too. But now while he is bricking them on one end, you are cashing three's at the other. The math would never work out. Heck, a pretty great scorer in Carmelo Anthony was basically made irrelevant based on how the game changed and was routinely a net negative on court player his last couple of years.
