Reading all the comments, i can bet my whole collection that

1) You are all either mid-40s or boomers (watching NBA while kids and idolizing bums the likes of Jordan, Ewing or even Longley)

2) You NEVER hooped in your life

3) You dont watch NBA nowadays

No F.....G way a bum the likes of Ewing would be better than lets say Myles Turner.

Myles Turner is a better leaper, better blocker, shoots the 3 like a guard, is agile, fast etc. He would cook and eat that bum Ewing, that slow, limited talented, bum Ewing for breakfast.

And we're talking Myles Turner here! Not a top 20 NBA player.

90s players played a laughably BAD basketball. A borefest with limited talent, non-existent pace, MINIMAL spacing, slow pace suited for NON-ATHLETES. Plumbers, carpenters, bouncers.

Kevin Durant has constantly told you the mistake you (mid-40s and over guys along with old players do). The amount of talent nowadays is 300x the amount of "talent" back then.

Its like 90s players laughing when they watched players playing basketball during the 60s.

The SOLE, i repeat, the SOLE player of the 90s who could be in the top10 players nowadays would be Shaq. PERIOD.

But, but, but he could not shoot or hit a free throw. Shaq could still be in top10 cause he was a freak of nature and he also never got injured (unlike eg Embiid).

Sorry, guys, but even @ the 5, we have guys with the talent of Jokic or Embiid (whenever he is not injured) shooting ~90% from the free throw, 40% from the three, having touch, being good passers. Even Myles Turner would TOY that bum Ewing.

Regarding PFs, Anthony Davis is 50x times more talented than bums playing PF back then.

Kevin Durant goes crazy all over you, clueless average Joes, but you dont listen.

Lebron would be the TOP player regardless of era. A guy having the body and the IQ of Lebron would not have a problem to play against bums the likes of Longley or Smits or fat Barkley (another OVER-OVER-OVERated bum with zero talent) or Bogues or the bums playind during the 90s.

Lebron is the GOAT and the hate towards him, especially the last 10y is 100% correlated with the crazy politics of the last decade and the "culture wars" with guys getting fanatized over nothing, just to forget real problems.

Lebron will end his carrer as no1 scorer, no3 in assists, no20 rebounder, top5 in steals.

He GOATed @ his 40s in MSG few days ago playing at a GOAT level. If you stopped hating him and admired his level of playing and his basketball IQ, you would understand that when the glorified VOLUME SHOOTER, the POOR MANS Anthony Edwards, Michael Jordan averaged 3-4p/game during his last year on the league, Lebron is still at his 40s the BEST player on MSG's court playing high basketball IQ and hooping like an alien.

Lebron IS the GOAT and he is the most COMPLETE basketball player of all time.

Admire his greatness and stop being bitter due to your hatred
stemming from the disastrous politics of the last 10y (and "culture wars" and other nonsense).

The guy is a basketball machine, his basketball IQ is off the charts, he has the perfect body, height, intelligence, mindset, work ethic, everything.

He is the GOAT.

Ok, you watched Jordan, Ewing, Longley, Rodman, Barkley, Bogues and other bums when you were kids. Stop idolizing them and stop acting like boomers.

Athletes nowadays are 500x more talented back then.

Lebron played during the early 00's (the SLOWEST SCORING ERA of all time, it wasnt the 90's, it was the early 00's) and then he adapted to a fast-pace, 3point centered era like a chameleon.

Lebron IS the GOAT and games the likes of the last one inside MSG with a man @ his 40s SCHOOLING everyone on court scoring, passing, rebounding etc, should make you admire his GREATNESS.

Watching Lebron hooping is like watching a new Godbottle's, Panfilova's or Phillips' piece. GOATs gonna GOAT.

Nuff said.

Not sure what that has to do with the NBA

Yes you would have to deploy a deeper bench to use that strategy, but if a team was knocking down 3's Shaq would be a liability quickly. I'm not saying he couldnt play today but that he would be far less effective.

Centers that would be much better choices, Ewing, Olajuwon, Mutombo, Robinson. Heck go back a little further and Ralph Sampson, Kareem would feast today. Shaq is an oddity of the bullyball era. How would he stay out of foul trouble?
That's the truth. We have a saying out here in Sac with Sabonis. The game hasn't started until he gets hit in the face. Most of the time when he does get hit in the face, they don't even call anything. Yet, do that to a guard and it's a flagrant.

Big guys getting hit and punched with no calls has always been the case. Many moons ago when I played high school and college I would get hammered on the blocks and get nothing from the refs. As far as Shaq goes he would tear teams apart in this current league. So many pansies now.

The hate towards Lebron is 100% politically motivated due to his stance on various matters and also the craziness around "culture wars" the last decade. Tell me who you vote for and i can predict if you hate Lebron with 100% accuracy.

Regarding Barkley, let's be real here. Barkley has been in WORSE shape than Luka is nowadays (with GM's around the league calling him fat) and he was considered a "superstar" back in that ATROCIOUS era of NON-talented players, carpenters, bouncers and plumbers.

It still amazes me though that you consider Barkley or Ewing good players. Compare Barkley Anthony Davis, a contemporary PF. Davis is 300x more talented, has a better touch, a better shot, everything. Or Ewing, the other bum vs eg Myles Turner.

Watching 90s NBA videos is like watching 70s videos for guys @ the 90s. My eyes HURT from the total lack of talent, the bums "pretending" to hoop, the lack of pace, everything.

Nevertheless, i get the reason why you are still idolizing such talentless players. You grew up watching them, it is the nostalgia.

In other news, GOAT just did GOAT things. He manhandled the Flippers the way he schooled all players inside MSG a couple days earlier. Where is Kawhi?

Lebron @ his 40s would SCHOOL the glorified volume shooter, Jordan if they played a 1v1. If i were Lebron, i would even demand to have one hand tied behind my back, to add more insult beating that bum, MJ, the poor mans Anthony Edwards.

Nothing to see here, guys. GOAT doing GOAT things @ his f....g 40s

I just don't consider LeBron the GOAT. Since I'm a Gen Xer, I guess that means I'm simply a victim of nostalgia with no proper "basketball training"

Hate is a strong word for just not finding the modern style of basketball (Roughly late 00s to today) as enjoyable.

I think it is boring to watch teams shoot 3s at two to three times the rate they used to when defense is hand tied and the % success doesn't go up.

I was taught about passing, finding good shots and looking for the best shot. Cuts, screens, mid range, 1-2 passes, using the whole court and knowing strengths and weaknesses. Made for more fluid and dynamic styles of play with interesting match ups.

I don't hate it, I've become apathetic to professional level and watch my Wildcats at the collegiate.

I also vote based on issues I value, not anything related to sport (unless you mean not subsidizes billionaire owners building stadiums so they don't relocate your team).

So the best shooting centers from the 90's wouldn't be able to play in the current game...because it relies more on shooting. Makes sense. I wonder if great outside shooting bigs like Ewing, Robinson, Olajuwon and Mourning would be better three point shooters if they took 300 a day in practice...like scrubs like Turner do now? If you watched both prime Ewing and Myles Turner and don't see a huge athleticism difference for Ewing then you don't know what you're looking at. Would it shock you to know that Ewing had a higher vertical jump in the 1984 NBA Draft combine than Turner did? How many open dunks does a guy like Turner get because the defense IGNORES him every time down while Ewing was double-teamed on almost every shot in the paint? I don't think you know half as much about basketball as you think...Myles Turner doesn't even have a post up game but you think he's hitting fadeaways over 7'2 guys consistently...hilarious. I think the Lebron disrespect has gotten crazy, but you're a fool if you don't think the all-NBA guys from the 90's are still going to be great in today's game.

Let me guess, Tim Duncan would suck in today's game too?

For all the skills today's NBA players have and all those plumbers, construction workers & electricians of yesteryear. The league as a whole in viewership is down, so go figure. Never heard of that in our era of the NBA as a Gen X'er.
