Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities-Netflix

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities out now on Netflix..

Caught the first episode tonight..there are a few on there right now, not sure if it’s the entire season or not.
Kinda like a Twilight Zone/Creepshow vibe, very well done. Really enjoyed the first episode and it definitely has my attention.
Also like the fact they seem to all be stand alone episodes, so you technically don’t need to see them all to get the gist of the show.
Anyone else catch this, if so what’s your take on this show so far.

Finished episode 3. I like it for the most part. They're basically short stories that deal with the macabre, very Del Toro. Only criticism I have are the endings. I get the impression they're going for the "wow that was creepy" reaction, as opposed to something more meaningful/impactful. Reminds me a of Goosebumps a bit in that way. It's not a deal breaking.

I only watched ep01 so far, but these were exactly my thoughts as well. Will watch more.

Agreed, didn’t love how they just ended.
Also in Episode 1, why show the guy hopping around? It did nothing for the story to me..just a crazy dude hopping before walking into his unit. I really thought there was a real reason behind it.

this show has been so-so for me, I've seen episodes 1-6 but not 7-8 yet as those just came out today. Im a big fan of anthology horror so it gets points for that, but overall it hasn't blown me away, and in the later episodes they really go for the gross out gore, I prefer regular old fashioned gore lol

Watched the first episode and it was cool. Watched Dreaming in the Witch House and it was good up until the very end. I’ll definitely watch all of them.

I was a little lost in episode 5 if anyone wants to dissect it for me. Or maybe I'm just looking for more meaning than there actually was.

I found the show to be more silly than scary, but it was really well done and the acting was great.

It's just a small detail that contributes to leading the viewer to believe something out of the ordinary may be going on there.

It may or may not have something to do with the ritual that binds the demon, but showing some abnormal routine certainly aids in getting the audience's minds guessing.

I've only watched the first three, but I like it so far.
