If anybody desperately wants the EX, maybe order soon as it's been showing as low stock for a week or two.

Sadly, the recent announcement of Prime 1 Alien & Predators means that I can't be committing another $700+ on this as much as I'd really love to. I maintain that it is a great statue however.

I really want to order the Exclusive, but only when Sideshow announces what material the statue will be made out of. I don't want a $700 PVC statue. If they are in the Production process right now, they should know exactly what will be used. Hoping this info comes out prior to it selling out.

I am sure they DO know what it is made out of, but are waiting before announcing High Grade (PVC). Or not saying anything at all.

Preordered this day one and can't wait for it! I'm just curious why some of you guys think it is possibly pvc or where that speculation started. The product weight according to the website is 25 lbs. That's heavy to me.

It's unusual for the Sideshow product page not to mention what the statue is made of. That absence of information leads to speculation.

Plus their 'weight estimates' are hardly reliable.

nah there is no way this will be pvc, the very definition of iron giant, more than any other character, signifies polystone - metal feel.

if they made this $700 statue pvc, sideshow will have a revolt on its hand from all the buyers.

i will bet anything it will be polystone, ss is not that stupid.

I would have said the same thing about the droids.

And, "SS is not that stupid" Sounds more like a challenge than a statement.

I hope you are right, but I am on a wait and see.

I caved and finally ordered. It didn't hurt as much as I was able to use few hundred bucks in Sideshow Rewards to ease the pain of the purchase price. Fingers crossed this turns out nice.
