Sadly, my guess is that PVC will be used due to SS stating that the head will be articulated. Because of this I do think it's a real possibility that the head will be PVC while the remainder will be polystone.

i finally caved as well, been eyeballing it for weeks. curious how low the stock really is.
i think SS had had enough of me taking it in and out of my cart a few dozen times, they finally gave me a 10% off coupon at checkout to, er, get off the pot as it were.
i have high hopes, fingers crossed it delivers, the pics look great.

The Iron Giant will have a resin base, resin body, a metal support system in its legs, and the head will be PVC with internal electronics for the light-up eyes.

I have to admit it would have been a bit of a disappointment if Sideshow had chosen one of the furthest things from Iron to make an Iron Giant statue.

Looks like Iron Giant EX is waitlisted. It still shows Pre-Order when you go to the product page, but when you add it to your cart it shows it's a waitlist reservation.
I've been hoping one of the $50 off coupon mailers would come my way and I'd finally jump on this. Guess I waited one day too many...
