Pixar's BRAVE

Couldn't find the thread for Brave and can't believe nobody has made a thread about it yet. Mods please merge if a thread already exists

In comparison to Pixar's previous films Brave isn't groundbreaking in terms of unique story, but it's still a really good fun film. Gorgeous animation and oh that lovely orange hair. And gotta applaud Pixar's decision to keep the second act under wraps during marketing, took me quite by surprise (I had only seen one trailer, don't know about the rest). Very rarely we get to experience that with big movies these days.

I was totally engrossed in the film and forgot to spot the Pizza Planet Truck easter egg. Also found out now that there was a post-credits scene which I missed, though it wasn't anything big.

I usually take my granddaughter out to movies and wanted to see Brave but she wanted to see Madagascar 3. Guess it will have to wait a couple weeks until we go out again. There are a lot of kid movies I get to see that I usually don't get to see now that I take her to movies. Hotel Transylvania and Ice Age Continental Drift are coming soon. She loves going to movies and it's special Grandpa/granddaughter time.

Gorgeous film, though the plot isn't as complex as some of Pixar's other ventures. Still a great story, though.
Great message for young girls and for children of all ages is found within the movie, as is the norm usually with Pixar.
The scenery and environmental effects are incredible.

Basically this is Pixar's first film with a female lead; in that respect, they've hit a homerun. All the leads but one are female.

Loved that they gave thanks to Steve Jobs, as he helped with Pixar's creation.

The bonus scene is cute, though unnecessary.

The bonus short (film) at the beginning is pretty good.

I'm actually a lot of more interested in this Pixar movie than I have been in their last three or four. Looks great visually and I like the setting. Toy Story 3 was great, but I never felt like I needed another TS movie, so I waited a long time to see it. Up was possibly my least favorite Pixar film and I never bothered to watch Cars 2. Just didn't care to. Brave has me pretty stoked though.

This is a visually stunning movie, but I was disappointed in the story.

It felt like another Disney storyline that I won't reveal yet, until most everyone has seen it, and enough time has passed.

I'm still waiting for the Incredibles 2...

The characters are funny and well designed, the animation and visuals are nothing short of amazing but the story falls short. It's not the epic tale I was hoping for.

We didn't rush out to see this one as I felt I knew the entire storyline based on the trailers and TV spots I saw. The wife and kids are going Tuesday and if it is a hit with them I will catch the inevitable blu ray at home.

without the little girl involved in the storyline, I am not really looking forward to this sequel (although technically a prequel I guess). I think it will miss something without her in it.
