You're definitely right, although sometimes the inaccuracies don't bother me. I especially like the liberty Hot Toys took with the widened visor on their 1:4 figure.

In fairness to SSC the ability to correct sculpt or account for the flare in the ESB is basically impossible at any scale. Even FettPride's helmets aren't 100% accurate. Anovos might come close when they show theirs off...

Dear moderators, any chance to quit some sticky post that are not frequently used? In example the Sideshows QC Problems (Discuss) and the Sideshow Collectibles Official Shipping Updates. Thank you...

Yes. His his head is plastic. I'm sure it's to allow this to happen:

I've got the Mythos piece and I don't dare touch the range finder for fear of breaking it. I'm totally okay with it being plastic if it's more functional.

I find it odd that the word "functional" is being used to describe a statue these days. Not calling you out, Gary. Just find this trend that Sideshow has adopted conflicting.

No worries. I don't think it's odd at all. I used the word functional to describe a component of a statue, not the statue itself. As far as articulating pieces are concerned, plastic is more durable than polystone, so this is where the functional aspect fits in. If this were done in polystone like the Mythos piece, I wouldn't touch that thing at all; it would be too brittle.

If the use of plastic is a trend, it's a welcomed change for me. Remember the first Boba Fett was notoriously PVC, which was a contentious issue for many collectors. If anything, this piece should be considered a significant upgrade for those who place importance in the choice of material.
