His tip about Steve Erwin translated into an incredible commission that has to be seen to be appreciated. So, go see it already.

Thanks again, DamonO!
The thanks goes to YOU, my comic brother-in-arms, for commissioning such outstanding pieces as this. If the idea didn't originate with you, it would never come to be. Possibly my favorite commission of 2014 -- so far, at least.

My top 5 personal go-to guys for multi-character commissions (in alphabetical order):

1. Steve Erwin
2. Eric Koda
3. Luke McDonnell
4. Val Semeiks
5. Sal Velluto

All do outstanding artwork, very reasonably priced, and provide great service. They are a cost-conscious comic art commissioner's best friends.

I'm two for five on that list and I couldn't agree more with you Damon. very affordable and quality work from all. I expect to hit the other three some time this year!

Who would've ever thought that the Ferret would turn up not once, but twice in a thread! He appears on my Juggernaut vs. the Protectors commission (posted earlier in this thread, msg. #18). Glad to know that I'm not the only one that had some love for that series.

I can't wait to see what cool ideas you've got up your sleeves for these talented artists.

I got an imaginary Protectors cover by Rob Brown a couple years ago. He did a couple issues of the book.

One of the most pleasant experiences I've had with an artist was with veteran comic artist Arvell Jones. Arvell credits include such titles as ALL-STAR SQUADRON, IRON MAN, IRON FIST, and many others. He recently completed 2 pieces for me featuring AZRAEL II and TECHNIQUE.

Azrael -- and this is the second guy in that role, not the original -- had his own DC title for awhile. Technique is the female version of Milestone's Hardware character, and Arvell drew her debut in that comic.

During both commissions, Arvell sent me three preliminary sketches and let me choose the one I liked best. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience.

You can commission Arvell through his great rep, Jeff Jaworski at jaworski4@gmail.com or at info@comicbook-art.com You won't regret it!

Nice stuff Damon! Hadn't seen the Azrael until now. Arvel is a class act. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet in the comic world.Jeff also reps Keith Pollard and Ron Wilson among others. Great to deal with.

Time for another artist that deserves your business: TREVOR VON EEDEN! Trevor is perhaps best known for his work on such comics as DC's GREEN ARROW, BLACK LIGHTNING, and THRILLER.

I recently started a new commissions project that turned into something much larger than initially anticipated. One of my all-time favorite comics from back-in-the-day was MARVEL PREMIERE #29. Marvel Premiere was an anthology series, and this particular issue introduced a new team of heroes from the Golden Age of Comics: THE LIBERTY LEGION. As originally drawn by the late, great Don Heck, its a comic I treasure to this day.

I started wondering how this comic would look if it had been drawn by today's artists. I got the idea to have some of the pages redrawn -- or "remastered" as I like to say -- so I decided to commission different artists to draw them. One of the artists I chose was Trevor. Although Trevor wasn't the first artist I recruited, he was easily the fastest, turning out high-quality artwork at lightning speed. His prices are very reasonable too. Below, you'll see the original page as drawn by Heck, and Trevor's remastered version. Believe me, if you're fed up with dealing with artists that don't provide you with great service, great communication, great artwork, and great prices, then you need to not walk but run and let Trevor show you how its supposed be done. He can be reached at thv2101@gmail.com

You'll be glad you did.
