I was going to order with the 10% off but one does not discount Doom I guess.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

The hardest part about the hobby these days is swallowing the shipping costs. *sigh* I miss the days of $40 shipping prices.

I find that if you wait a few months to buy a statue, the shipping prices go down often. I'm convinced SS marks up the shipping costs for initial orders since those people are basically willing to buy no matter what.
Someone posted on FB yesterday that the new Carnage PF for him was $90+ to ship. But when he puts it in his cart now it's coming up as $45 to ship. I don't know lol.

the ~$100 shipping stings compared to just a few years ago but i always keep international collectors in mind - paying even more in shipping / taxes / duties etc.

I just posted this in my Facebook group:
I'm reading that people who preordered Carnage from Sideshow paid over $90 in shipping, but those who ordered it after it came into stock paid only half that. Sideshow is looking into the discrepancy, and at least one collector has already been refunded the difference.
Now I'm reading that collectors who preordered Doctor Doom are being asked to pay over $90 this week for it to ship. I highly recommend that collectors who paid that amount check back later when it shows in-stock and see if shipping is dramatically less. You may be eligible for a partial shipping refund.

Thanks for the info but the real question is - was this intentional or some type of system error? Potential shady stuff going on at SSC...
