The Nerdist has some of the worst casting ideas I have heard in a while for FF. First off, I hate Dern. I think she is way overrated. Second, Keanu is not my Reed.

wow, that cast list is embarassing, thankfully those guys arent calling the shots
personally, I think Reed and Victor would be the hardest to cast perfectly

Two gender swaps, one culture swap, two major age swaps... While I do not think Disney would choose this group specifically, the diverse dynamic is probably what we would likely see happen. Hopefully, the story is good.

what are your guys thoughts on the rumored / fan casting of john krasinski and emily blunt as reed / sue? seems like i saw a ton of photoshopped images of them all over instagram once disney acquired fox

They should consider more non-big name stars.
I know people love to play those casting games with famous
ones, but it cuts costs down not having to pay them so much and also I think lets the characters shine more. I know you need some big names because that's Hollywood and you have to have them on the poster and ads.

With a FF movie a good 3 years away, aren't Krasinski & Blunt a bit too old for a kick-off? With a 3 picture deal, it's a 10-15 year commitment from now. I'd think MCU would have to go younger.

As I have a crush on both of them, I would love it.
And while the films have a 10-15 year span, it's not like they ever really stop filming. It's just non-stop.
I also don't ever see another situation like building up to Thanos happening. The only franchise that would need to do that is X-Men building up to Dark Phoenix, and even that can be done within 5 films. The FF could just have three films cranked out to reach Big G. No need for filler films.
Let us not forget that RDJ took over Iron Man at 34. Emily Blunt is 36, John Krasinki is 39 -- Reed is supposed to look matured. I don't want or need a kiddie FF.

i agree, their ages seem appropriate and can even grow into them for the next 10-15 years much like RDJ did
