No no no. Look at that solicit again. You don't fret about display space when something like that is 1st shown or petition for a smaller scale.

That is nearly an impossible level of quality advertised. Prime 1 has proven it can do an outstanding Alien. Can Queen beat it?

This head in 1/2 scale was twenty inches deep.

A 1:1 is going to be more than 3' deep on the shelf- unless they make it tilting down (which would be very much in the spirit of many film scenes of it).

Trying to find room for the LSB 1/3 Hulk would be a piece of cake compared to this, for most people.

Am I missing something? Why wouldn't one display it sideways?

You're right, of course, that most will probably display it sideways.

But it's a true bust, and not just the head, those shoulders would make a side display kind of awkward. And it's still eating up over 3' of horizontal space. No matter which way, it's gonna eat up a lot of real estate.

OTOH- were it looking down at even just a mild 45 degree inclination (which I'm sure people here would still balk at), that would cut down on width space, and possibly make a front facing display more do-able.

I'd also think that attitude would be a little more dynamic and less bland than the basic mugshot profile...even if it still gets displayed in profile anyway.

Looks like it has the full shoulders etc, this will definitely be big. I have the CP head which is beautiful, but narrow enough to pose on a shelf. This however looks nice, I'll be tempted! Hope they make maquettes also.

I'm sure this will be great but I'm very content with my Bruce Hansing lifesize bust. This should be practically identical size wise so here's a few different pics next to some statues to give you an idea how big this will be...

Hopefully, it will be like the OG SS Warrior bust. To date, that's still the best Alien bust I have seen in person. There are some great customs out there though.

Not to sound weird, but... eh, screw it: that custom Cinemaquette has me biting my lower lip every time I see it. I've never cared at all for it, but with that headsculpt and repaint, it's just sublime.

Ha the juxtaposition between what all is in those shelves versus what is on top...
