Yeah it's overkill on the textures, there is hardly any distinction between D and the horse.

Yeah, I agree. It's a mess.

Yep he rides a mechanical horse in the novels. I've never watched either of the animated films, but I'm a huge fan of the novels. This statue doesn't really capture the look of the films (based off the screenshots I've seen) and it certainly does not capture Amano's artwork from the novels. One of my dream grail statues is an Amano styled D riding a horse.
Maybe the alternate sculpt will look better, assuming it will be a calm portrait.

I really like it, personally. But I agree the statue should have had a greater emphasis on elegance, instead of action. I also would have preffered a more colourful depiction of D, which is quite common with Amano. Otherwise, it's very impressive. I also wish they hadn't gone for those spiked pauldrons, which make him look like more of a villain.

I feel like it's trying to be all different D's versions at once. It has artworkish vibes with the long cape in an action pose reminding the anime. It's strange. Maybe the horse should have been in a normal pose and head down, it's true that it steals the show even if it is a very nice horse. I'm kind of confused about this statue, I like it but I'm not sure I want to have it. Still waiting for the price.

The surface texture is weird. It's hard to see the surface textures. I have a feeling it may be too expensive for my liking.

Figurama posted some news on their facebook: two swappable heads, swappable arms, two blades... Pre-order on september 3rd.
The Amano "stamp of approval" makes me fear the worst for the price.

Yeah, the price concerns me as well. I really want this piece, but the 3rd of September is a bad time for me. Can anyone remember what Figurama pieces typically go for? There's no prices listed on the site, since everything is sold out.
