SS removed the knee pads and made the bust line of her top curved (SS liberties), other than that its the Rebirth costume.
SS altered Supes belt, otherwise its also Rebirth.

Kinda my point though. It's only OK when the individual finds it acceptable.
Personally I wouldn't want a Batman who's wearing purple either.
I'm fine with creative licensing when it looks good. Problem is for the most part they've been missing for me.

Yeah I wasn't too keen on his Rebirth suit either but honestly Id rather have it than this current PF.
However, Rebirth WW remained the same, Rebirth Supes HAD blue boots but they changed them back to red, Bats suit is also going back to traditional if it hasn't already via the Doomsday Clock title.
That being said SS could've went with Capullo's rendition or the DDC version. The purple can be pulled off if done tactfully, look at the Koto 1/6.
When it works it works, when it doesn't, well, it just doesn't lol.

If you're for or against a sculpt, design or paint, no need to spam your opinion because nobody acknowledges it. Make your point, do not insult or be condescending. If you are, I will ban you from this section or this forum.

Igo has already posted in one of the threads that SS isn't abandoning classic interpretations and we will still see them in the future. I think we just need to judge them on a piece by piece bases and pick and choose what we like. Full disclosure as cool as I think it is that Tweeterhead is doing straight comic interpretations I feel that it's leaving some of those pieces a little flat.

That pretty much sums it up for me as well. SS will strike out badly at times. (IMO) They will also hit a grand slam like with WW, Wolverine, Green Arrow...maybe. Just wish Bats was one of their hits since he’s my fav.

Green Arrow still has the possibility of being a hit or a miss. We've only seen the upper body.

Just my opinion ,Sideshow will eventually realease some sort of classic version.

I get were your coming from but i’ve always been under the impression that the(artist)company make theses statues for the(fan)customer, SS is a business after all, sure you can’t satisfy everyone but i thought the point was for the most people possible. Especially when there is source material for what fans actually want, expect and have waited years for.
And don’t get me wrong i very much like this statue and will be buying it, but would’ve preferred a more modern comic approach. Like batwoman pf.

I would argue giving artists to much liberty is equally as short sighted and destructive. In the end fan approval is what matters most.
