To confirm, this guarantees one a statue?

I'm surprised and thought it would be a mad dash on the 23rd.

If it’s anything like Spec-fictions HMO Zero & Black Zero PO from last year yes it guarantees the statue. I checked in with Todd prior to the WW date for the preorder and nabbed them both before he even put the items on his site.

My guess is he’s being proactive here seeing how X, Zero & Morrigan sold out so fast.

Hard to preorder something when you can't even see a sample.

Might anyone know when we can expect to actually see one?

I don't know but I decided to wait as well. Might go for the kinetiquettes version but time will tell. Hmo is one of my favorite companies so I'm hoping they pull through with an amazing Mai.

Think I’m gonna pass on this one and hold out for Felicia, see how that goes.

Well I broke and ordered HMO's. With the quality of their prduction pieces, the fact that they improve upon the prototype in production and their high quality skin paints and eyes, I couldn't resist. Also didn't want to take a chance on me loving the actual statue when revealed but it's too late and already sold out.

I'm happy with my decision.

I pre-ordered as well. I have the HMO Morrigan and it is one of my favorites. Assuming their production does not go down, this Mai will turn out great even just from the renders.

I think the Kinetiquettes Mai is very good and a likely order as well. But I think the head looks slightly too small for the body as is. Hopefully we get more photos and it turns out to only be lens distortion.

I based my decision on the fact that their skin apps and their exclusive eye making process is just so good and so unique.

Plus they always seem to listen to fans and want to improve their piece from proto to production. If there is anything wrong with the piece once we see the actual statue I feel confident they are more than willing to treak it in response to fan feedback.

I still feel this is going to be an astounding Mai!

Did HMO officially confirm Mai is getting the acrylic eyes like Morrigan? Since I only see the renders.
