Double post:

Finished Season 2 of The Boys: 9/10

Love this show. And the finale was aces! I have always loved Almond Joy, who knew I could do more than just eat them

I am very curious if it follows source material or if the writers have really altered if a great deal to be “timely”? It’s freaky AF how much the reflects present US situations.
The comics are somewhere between R and NC17

For example in the TV show Starlight only gave The Deep a BJ but in the comics all the guys stand around her with their pants dropped, and she has to do all of them... The TV show is somewhat tame compared to the comic books...

The TV show loosely follows the comic book, the biggest difference is in the comics The Butcher and his team take Compound V to fight the "superheros" which they don't do in the TV series...

It also seems like the series, with the exception of Hughie being included, almost feels like a prequel to the comics.

Raised By Wolves, 6 of 10. Started strong but lost its way in the 2nd half of the season.

Thanks guys! I enjoy darker books to match my pretty XMen stuffs. Once I finish up the Vader TPBs I got, I will see if I can find The Boys electronically. I’m still waiting to get my hands on “Something Is Killing The Children”.

I’m not sure where they are going to go with Season 3, but I am in

Helstrom Season 1- 7.5/10 little slow at parts but the story is solid. Probably could have been 8 episodes.

Helstrom 7/10 right up there with the Inhumans imo..lead had zero charisma/swag to play Helstrom...super slow burn story wise...I saw nothing connecting it to the MCU except for a Roxxon gas station in an early scene.
