X-3's butchering of both the Dark Phoenix storyline and the Juggernaut finished off attempts on my part to enjoy any of Fox's X movies.

I did enjoy the initial excitement of seeing the X-Men on screen for the first time in the original X-Men movie, the Nightcrawler scene in X-2, and the Quicksilver scene in Days of Future Past. I also didn't mind Logan, but that's about it for me.

Precisely. Rebecca Romijn absolutely nails it; and the filmmakers used her just the right amount.

I don't understand why Jennifer Lawrence is so popular in America. Anyway, the prequel guys suddenly realized, when this newcomer blew up after First Class, that they had a star on their hands. Then they decided to make Mystique the focal point of EVERY SINGLE storyline, which just annoys me to hell. They forced me to hate a character I had loved.

I submit that Deadpool 2 did worse by Juggernaut than X3.

* I have not seen Dark Phoenix

The series as a whole has been all over the map with somehow both managing to nail Wolverine and Deadpool and utterly botch them. Even with the good the movies had, I cannot say I'm sad to see it rest and full on MCU reboot down the road. i=I do hope Reynolds stays as Deadpool, everyone else they can recast.

Looks like I may be in the minority with this one but I actually really, really liked The Wolverine, maybe even more than Logan & it's one of my favorite Marvel movies.. Wolverine's Japanese experiences are some of my favorite of his solo comic stories & I thought the film did a great job tying a few of them together. I would have loved another film with Logan & Yukio. I thought she was great.

Well, to be honest & i.m.o., the Siver Samurai is a damn near impossible character to pull of anywhere but comic books, but still Director, James Mangold went there. He devoted quite a bit of time to the character's backstory & actually pulled it off. We'll never see him again, but I thought it worked. One of the few Marvel movies I can watch again & again (Cap. 1st Avenger being another). I love the bullet train fight, I love the opening Canadian bear & bar stuff, I love Logan in Japan, The Jean visitations, the post-funeral street chase w/ ninjas, the self surgery scene was amazing, & the Yukio sword action is just so much fun. I even love the X-Men airport ending.

"How did you know there was a pool down there?"

"I didn't."
