Joker (2019). **** WARNING SPOILERS ALLOWED ****

Joker ..set in Gotham 1981

He (Todd Phillips) suggested they begin a division called DC Black, separating itself from the current crop of DC films. "I sais, 'Let Joker be the first, then let's get f--king great filmmakers to come in." It was also a way to differentiate from Marvel. "Instead of trying to live in the shadow of that beast, let's do something they can't do," he said. Budgets should be around $30 million, he recommended, films without all the CGI hoopla. "I said, 'Let's just strip that all away. It'll be liberating.'"

"We didn't follow anything from the comic books, which people are going to be mad about," - Todd Phillips

"We're not even doing the Joker, but a story of becoming the Joker" - Todd Phillips

Elements from the comics are in there, "because it is The Joker" - Todd Phillips

"There's not one green-screen in this movie." - Todd Phillips

I have a very good feeling about this

It's kind of what FOX did with Logan, min. CGI and everything looked to be shot at live locations instead of Green Screens at the studio.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I want this to flop so bad and hopefully will...a waste of a character. I feel about this like people felt toward Dark Phoenix.

The difference was the trailer for Dark Phoenix looked bad and the movie was bad.

The trailer for Joker looks good but I've yet to see it so I can't really say if the movie is good or not but I think it has a better chance of success then Dark Phoenix which was so badly written.
