Stargate Universe: 7/10

I remember when this first came out I hated the show, I gave it like 4/10... I think it was such a drastic change from SG-1 and Atlantis, where both of those series were action/comedy and were light watching.... Then came along Universe with it's dark and rather gloomy story of being stuck on a super old ship...

Anyways I thought I'd give both seasons a binge watch over the long weekend and I was surprised to find myself actually liking it this time around... I think releasing it when they did was just bad timing... Plus Sci-Fi channel putting the show on like a 4 month pause between mid seasons didn't help either...

Anyways Now I'm kind of bummed they ended after 2 seasons, I'll have to read the comic to see what happens to the crew..

I only got a couple of episodes into Stargate Universe before it seemed to be pulled by the station showing it at the time in the UK? I never did see any more of it. If I find it available for stream somewhere, I'll watch them.

If your into Stargate, for a one time fee of $20 you can join Stargate Command (MGM) and stream everything Stargate related. Stargate Movie, SG-1, Atlantis, Universe and their new web prequal Stargate Origins.

I just found this the other day, I haven't joined yet but I am tempted to check out the web series... Looks like there are 4 episodes so far.

I thought SGU was the strongest of the Stargate series personally. The serialized narrative as opposed to the more procedural plots were a large part of that. As was the more serious tone. With both Stargate and Stargate Atlantis the forced humor coupled with nearly every alien civilization they encountered looking like something out of a renaissance festival got rather stale.

Flash Season 4 7/10

Worse season so far and just felt more of the same with some of the characters. Felt like it dragged a bit and could do with a shorter season

The Americans - Season 6

The series finale ranks with Breaking Bad as one of the best endings I've ever seen. 10/10

6 out 10 and that is being generous.

I really want to like this show more but the world killer storyline is just dragging on and on. I'm over it.
