Just to mention: there is a burled wood version of this cabinet that I think looks great too:

but since it's discontinued, you have to be lucky to find one for sale. (I just did a search on "henredon grand provenance curio cabinet", if you want to try that.)

It's an Amish furniture maker if that make any difference.

Also, I'm not familiar with a build in constructed, how would that work?
You have to have the cabinet maker out and tell them what you want in the space. You still see built-in display cabinetry in older homes. That’s what I’m planning for in the future.

I say if you can afford it and can have it done in your home go for the built-in cabinetry. I can do nothing but enhance the look of the room and add overall value to the home

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Tbolt that sound amazing and I just google it, those are some nice cabinets.

However, I don't have a whole wall I can give up, but thanks for the suggestion, it give me a base to compare with.

Need Help!!!

I am wanting to build a table like display that would be 3/4in thick hardwood plywood that is 6ft wide/long and 17in in depth. The supports would be 3/4in iron black pipes on both ends with nothing in the middle. Would this set up support an overall weight of 150lbs without bowing in the middle? So you are aware what will be on it it will be 5 1/4 scale statues that average around 25lbs each. Thank you in advance to anyone who has any insight to this.

Doing a little bit of experimentation here. I just added the lights and will add an acrylic door soon to avoid any dusting chores.

So far I like the result. I prefer a white background than a brown/black one. Here the details pop more and are easier to appreciate.

I think I'm sold on investing in Moducases, but I can't find any good reviews about the difference in look when buying the LED strips versus the spot lights... Does anyone here have any experience with both and which look better?
