Came across this place, may give them a try when I get my Mad Doctor poster in.:

I like that this place specializes in movie posters, and they seem to know their stuff. Need to see what their rates are though.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

I had good luck at Michaels. I brought them a 3500 dollar piece and they ordered the materials, built what they could and then called me when most of it was ready. I returned with the piece and they took it in the back and framed it up while I waited. I was thrilled I didn't have to leave the piece where it could be damaged or lost (it is one of a kind, original artwork).

Well Michaels wants $500 to do the same job. So I won't be going to them.

That's insane. That had to be with museum glass, a few mattes, and a fancy molding, right?

I just had a quote done and i was going to use/add a fillet but that brought it to about 580 dollars (with 60% off), including 3 mattes (2 silk mattes), ornate frame (one of the most expensive moldings they carried) and museum glass (24x36 piece). Without the fillet it was still about 488. It's really just up to you if it's worth it or not. once it's all said and done i think when you see the results you can justify the price as the frame can lend itself spectacularly to a piece.

Thats with a midgrade frame, acrylic museum glass and no matts or any fancy stuff.
Im still waiting for a quote from a specialist. Hopefully they can repair and frame it for a decent price. I never realised i would be spending twice the value of the print to frame it.
