Fox and Marvel Resolve their problem

Just read online that Fox has decided to sell its franchise to Marvel for a specified amount + royalties. The deal will be effective post the reboot of the Fantastic four franchise.

Does this in any way help XM to get clearance for their Xmen statues and will XM be doing Fantastic Four pieces in the future as well?

It is not true. People keep linking the April Fools joke from comicvine that said they sold it back to Disney for 1.8 billion.

I have had like 10 people message me on Facebook because of it. Don't know how it is getting rehashed again. People take too much at face value.

Yeah I don't see Fox ever letting go of the Spider-Man franchise, why sell it at 1.8 billion (yes I know April fools joke) when you have the potential to make a billion in profits for each movie released...

If Fox and Disney are hammering anything out it's the merchandise rights....

But Marvel is starting to make moves to get the licenses back. As in ending of promoting a few comics and other characters. The Stop Of X Men merchandise Is the beginning. Next no more F4 comic and adding new heros. But also little by little they are getting the rights back from other companies. Like silver surfer.

I think strong arming FOX which has a ton of money is going to be a lot harder then companies that are smaller... Cutting off merchandise and comics will only hurt Marvel/Disney as FOX has not skin in that game as it is now.... As for new characters, FOX has like 50 years of material to work with... I just don't see FOX giving up the rights...
