Main reason is because we need a classic Cyclops PF.

And the latest Cyclops PF is not that far removed from a Byrne Cyclops PF. Remove the straps, buckles and pouches. Tweak the gloves and boots a tad as well as the top of his head. And you're basically there.

It will require some sculpting, but not a whole lot, IMO.

It would look good but those are some pretty serious tweaks, not like you can just take off the leg straps. Maybe the chest ones and belt if they're glued on pieces. Boots would also need a new lower half. Even the gloves might be too bulky if you tried to sculpt the longer part and have them slide over his forearms.

When was the last heavily-modified PF variant? Like the Balent Catwoman

Difference of opinion, I guess. You think those are serious tweaks, but I don't.

No matter. This is a guessing game anyway. No one knows what Sideshow is willing to do with regards to possible variants.

This was never confirmed 3 years ago. But Martin Canale looking at the tiger striped costume while working on the Astonishing inspired PF. Was he modifying the sculpt? Or just pulling inspirations from the tiger stripe?
