Phoenix looks good- and I agree about the backdrop bringing the overall effect of it down.
My favorite Dark Phoenix is still the $50 Diamond Gallery statue.
Cheaper material and probably not as sharply finished as this will be (nor as blatantly evil looking), but it's conceptually one-of-a-kind, and great to see a fresh, but appropriate, pose for this character when every big company is flogging the same basic design over and over.
But for what it is, this does look really good.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Man, I am so disappointed with Sideshow Phoenix diorama.
If they had the Jean Grey PF in front of this Dark Phoenix, in 1/4 scale, it would have been a must buy.

That certainly would be interesting.
Someone should do a photoshop of the two.

If I were going to get Phoenix (and it's tempting), I'd get the solo figure and airbrush a large, somewhat vague phoenix on a backdrop of black velvet, with fluorescent pinks, reds, yellows, and white.
Then hit it with a UV LED, hidden behind the figure..

Speed. I am speed. Speed. Faster than fast, quicker than quick.
- Lightning McQueen
Hi guys,
I have received the 1/10 Quicksilver statue earlier this week from Sideshow and I am very happy with it.
Quicksilver looks great and I am happy to have him in my collection; it's truly a solid piece which emphasizes the speed and dynamics related to Pietro's unique mutant powers.
The assembly of the statue was a bit of a puzzle for me since I found the instructions in the user guide not always very clear.
I also think some of the connections are a bit flimsy and not very robust but I must admit that I am wondering if this could be caused by the fact that I might not assembled all pieces in the correct way.
I have taken some quick pics of this statue to show you my statue of Quicksilver. I hope to receive Scarlet Witch in the upcoming months and will post some pics of Pietro and Wanda together once Wanda has made her entrance into my collection.
Have fun!
Rainer
