it is part game, part check locator service and part retail specials.
you get points for checking into places and there is a "scoreboard" for you and your friends to see who is doing the most.
these points vary for different things etc, you can become mayor of venue's and sometimes with some stores, malls and restuarants get super specials if you are mayor.
you also get badges for doing different activities and checking in while there. kind of like merit badges in scouts.
while on vacation i saved about $300 overall in specials, discounts, free entrees etc.
One of my employees got me sarted on this last year and I am hooked.
it is a free app on both Iphones and droids
