finally a decent update about the delays, this is from the email....

Darkness 1:3 is limited to only 150 pieces, meaning you all have something very special being made for you. We want it to be PERFECT!
Achieving this has been a bumpy ride. We had to move production to a different factory twice because the samples we got back were not meeting the standards we set for ourselves or our collectors. Thankfully, we have found a factory we are comfortable saying will make this statue well worth the wait.
We are expecting a sample at the end of January and will be sending another update then with photos!
Darkness 1:3 is currently estimated to arrive at our warehouse in July, and as a thank you for all your patience, we will be offering a discount on the shipping cost.
They ARE coming. We promise!

this is all I've been asking for, a simple explanation for the delays instead of the radio silence. I'm happy they are pushing for quality, a lot of other companies would've just accepted what was produced at the first factory. Discount on the shipping is welcomed and appreciated also

It's crazy to think this was teased in March of 2014 and then fiding out only 150 were going to be made; however, XM's 1/4 scale Ghost Rider on his 1/4 scale bike with flames and everything was teased over a year later, and I just saw an in-hand pic of one out of 999.

While its not an excuse for just how crazy delayed this is, it is many many times more elaborate and difficult to make than that Ghost Rider.
In fact, other than Cinemaquette products, which cost 50% or more, Ive never seen another statue as complicated as this Darkness.
