The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I'll see what SS does for Spook this year and rewards points. Hopefully I can add some to my stockpile and knock down the price of this guy a bit. I have about $650 right now worth of points with another $100 or so to convert soon.

Do you think an Ikea Detolf cabinet would be able to support the weight of this statue comfortably if placed on top?

The Sentinel is estimated at 20 lbs. I've seen images with 25 lb pieces atop Detolf cabinets. Still not sure I'd recommend it, especially with the Sentinel standing about 32" in height!

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

No! On the bottom yes, but detolfs are not wide enough. If your spending 800+ on a statue, invest in a higher quality cabinet/shelf to protect it. Man that would be terrible to have Sentinel crush all your pieces underneath. Sense the irony.

Since it is a larger statue, the base will be bigger, thus it will distribute the load over a larger portion of the top of the shelf so honestly, if its secured to a wall properly than it likely can support it, but it is pushing the weight limit right to the edge. I wouldn't recommend it without reinforcing the very top portion of the cabinet. Personally, I would recommend a different route altogether. Just not worth the risk on a piece like that, not to mention the statue beneath it.

The sentinel is 15" wide and 15" long. it will fit in the detolf if my measurements of it are accurate at just above 15" wide and deep.
Unless Sideshow classically got the measurements wrong.

Yeah fair enough, dimension wise it would fit but maybe not worth the risk weight wise. I'm running out of space in my statue room and have a space of about 17-18 inches wide to fit another small cabinet on which I'm thinking of displaying the Sentinel. Will have to hunt around for something stronger.
