Goro 1/3 - MKX

Kind of silly, but when I was downsizing my PCS orders, I thought of canceling this to get the SS/P1 Darkseid, since they're about the same price (Goro w/ discount). But Goro is 1/3, more massive, and we'll surely get many more Darkseid statues in the future (really want a classic 1/3), but the same can't be said for Goro.

I think Netherrealm took a good risk with this design. Never thought I'd see Goro live to be older and wiser, and still look badass. That we have a 1/3 statue almost ready to ship is pretty amazing. Despite all my reservations about PCS now, I'm glad this exists, and I have this on order.

I don't even care about Goro. MKX Goro was atrocious when I first saw it.


I'm not even sure Jerry expected Goro to turn out as well as it did.
The prototype looked magical. That is what got me to order. There is a lot for the sale pieces to live up to because I don't think I've ever seen a statue look more real. This thing deserves more attention and pains for production than any other I know.

This will be the standard for me. If he doesn't show up like this Sideshow will be getting my pieces right back.

I got MKXL on sale recently, and while I haven't played it, I agree that the Goro model in-game doesn't look that impressive. Lacks detail and maybe the bloom lighting doesn't help. Obviously this was sculpted by hand, except perhaps for the costume, and it's miles better than all the in-game footage I've seen.

The proto from the varied footage so far seems like it has more paint subtlety but I'm not jumping to conclusions yet.

This is the first item I've ever ordered directly from PCS. Given that shipping is looking closer have any of you UK guys got an estimate of what this might cost to get over here and rough idea of customs fees? Trying my best to prepare for this!

One thing's for sure your wallet will get ktfo but after some months of recuperating it will have been worth it (if the production piece comes out close enough to the proto as it is showing it will).

Shouldn't cost anything more then a spearhead on a rope.

My last 1:3 from them which was Reptile and that was $135 shipping and i'd say Goro is twice the size and weight so i'd estimate at least $200 maybe more if it's in 2 boxes.

Customs fees it's just pot luck whether you pay 5% or 20% i haven't paid more than 5% from PCS for years but Reptile i got charge the full 20% which worked out at £121....so Goro could be a lot more than that.
