The Amazing Spider-man 2 - 3.5/5

I thought the action was balanced well with the emotional stuff. Really fun and entertaining overall.

ASM2 9/10. Wow where did the time fly. Brilliant visuals mixed with nice narrative and an emotional roller coaster. The movie in no way felt over crowded as some have feared. Liberties were taken but no more than the original movies and the effect is the same if a little more personal. Will certainly be seeing this again in the cinema.

This bodes well for me considering you and I completely agreed on how well the first one was done.

Cool. I was worried Man of Steel was the only movie we agreed on.

Bulls, did you watch the 2d or 3d version? If the latter, what were your thoughts?

Amazing Spider-man 2 in 3D. 8/10
The 3D was very well done I felt, and the film was pretty solid in terms of story and development of the Spider-man character. Not perfect in every sense, and Jamie Foxx's talents were perhaps underused, but all in all pretty enjoyable flick

2D so far. Plan on seeing it in 3D over the weekend.

Dom Hemingway (2013) - After spending 12 years in prison for keeping his mouth shut, notorious safe-cracker Dom Hemingway is back on the streets of London looking to collect what he's owed.

Looking at the reviews by both critics and the general public, I liked this movie more than most people. It was fun seeing Jude Law in this role. 7/10

Les Demoiselles de Rochefort (1967) - Sisters Delphine and Solange (real-life sisters Catherine Deneuve and Françoise Dorleac) look for love in their small town of Rochefort.

This was almost as excellent as Demy's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. It will be a must-own for me when the Criterion blu-ray is released later this year. 9/10
